In the Rig Veda, there is repeated mention of a plant called Soma. It was described as powerful, restorative, and deeply valued for its ability to support clarity, strength, and overall well-being. In those times, plants were respected as living systems of intelligence. Soma, in particular, symbolized vitality, clarity, and elevated consciousness.
Over time, that wisdom became layered with misunderstanding, stigma, and silence.
Somasutra Wellness, along with the parent brand Soma Sutra, draws inspiration from this ancient wisdom and aims to remove the stigma around it. We believe in acknowledging that plant-based healing has long been part of our knowledge systems and approaching it with the same seriousness today.
We build our formulations using Ayurvedic principles, but we also rely on modern research, proper extraction methods, lab testing, and ethical manufacturing standards.

Our journey with Soma Sutra Wellness began with conviction.
We have always believed that plant-based healing in India deserves to be approached with seriousness, structure, and respect. Hemp has existed within our medicinal systems for generations, yet in modern times, it has often been misunderstood or oversimplified. We felt a responsibility to bridge that gap properly.
So we committed ourselves to deep study and disciplined development. We revisited classical Ayurvedic references, examined contemporary clinical research, worked closely with Vaidyas, medical practitioners, and regulatory advisors, and ensured that every formulation met strict safety and compliance standards.
To us, reviving this knowledge is not about nostalgia, but about modern necessity.
